Re: Activation problem
Hi, many thanks! I am sorry that by using the word 'coerce', even in brackets, I somehow seemed to imply that there has ever been any suggestion of needing to update for the sake of updating. Many apologies. I will give the matter further consideration and see if my better option in the long term ...

Re: Activation problem
Hi, The last version of WYSIWYG which I paid to update to, is Version 15. Even though I know there is currently Version 18, I have found Version 15 perfectly adequate for my basic needs, especially that I have now effectively retired. However, I did pay for a licence, and can confirm this as follows ...

Keyboard Shortcuts
Hi, I find f5 particularly useful, for previewing, as well as one or two others I regularly make use of. I'm sure there must be one that, instead of Previewing the page/pages you selected, it Publishes them instead? There do seem ways of making up your own keyboard shortcut, but if the process is ...

Images and borders
Hi, I have read that some images won't accept the addition of borders, which, personally I think, makes them look smarter. A good number of the images I use, do accept Box Shadow 7, whether I'm using them in the default setting , or the 320 mobile size. When I initially click on these images, the ...

Re: Personal Website upload version
Many thanks for the helpful suggestions! On this occasion I'm taking the simplest option, of manually changing the date, whenever I update the site which, to be fair, isn't too frequent, now that things have gotten sorted. I did try the Javascript ready-made versions, but found that, natively it ...

Personal Website upload version
Hi, I'm just wondering whether WYSIWYG has an automatic function that would let me do the following: Suppose I upload the latest version of my own website. Is there a means that somewhere it could automatically show 'Present version 12/01/21' or words to this effect, somewhere on my site? Then when ...

Re: Frustrating!
Hi, Just to say I've re-read the FAQ article, and thought it through again, comparing parts of my previous site which worked, with virtually similar ones one my amended site, so as to be able to see where I was specifically going wrong, and I think I've got it now. I will now correct the few pages ...

Re: Frustrating!
Hi, I've tried further, and managed to sort out a page or, two, but have indicated the still troublesome ones here: They also exhibit the same problem, though not always to the same degree - the 320 setting works fine, but on these pages the default does include some white space at the bottom: Here ...

Re: Frustrating!
Hi Pablo, That's most kind. I have tried to see why, for example, the 'teaching' page works, while 'teaching 1c' has the space, but I can spot the reason. Although there are a few other things I would have prefered to tidy up first, I have followed your advice, and uploaded the new site - warts and ...

To coincide with the start of the New Year, and to keep me occupied during the latest UK Covid lockdown, I decided to make largely cosmetic modifications to my existing website. I always find working with Responsive Websites a spot bothersome, but I've encountered a small issue - no fault of WYSIWYG ...

Currently, on my website's contacts page, I've successfully set up. and used the 'Send Email' link, which, when a visitor clicks on the selected icon, generates an email to me, with the subject of 'General Enquiry', which works well, and always gives me the nod that it has come to me via my website ...

I can best describe what I'm looking to achieve by referring to the folding they often put outside a theatre, or concert hall. Hi, I'm sure this is all in there, somewhere, but I can't seem to pinpoint the exact area to enable me to do something. I might like to add some kind of smooth transitions between my webpages. Thanks for confirming that!
A custom script would seem, to a layman like me, as we say in English, 'taking a sledge-hammer to crack a nut', and more complicated than it's worth, for a very small gain, I'd say.
Thanks, though!

Quickly examining various Text Effects
Hi, WYSIWYG has a vast array of Text Effects which I can choose from to apply to the first appearance of my name (in a Banner) on my website. Hi All, Thank you all for you many offers of help which, as still a relative novice, I value so very much. Hi, I'm sure somehow I've altered this myself, but not knowingly, and would prefer to return to the status quo. When I used to move an object, either with the mouse, with the set of four arrow keys to the left of the Number keys, or via Properties, any setting would increment by just 1. Now I find ...
