Thanks for your post. Yes it is, although I only found Output format under File/General/Text box. If it's line height you're referring to, the default is apparently to have that listed under text box properties, and changing it only shifts the dropped characters further below the line ...

...and it's only on text that is wrapped around a picture - all other text throughout the website is not affected.

Nope, not that - I've got nine flavours of Arial on this PC!
The other odd thing is that on each page, the corruption starts at some point after the beginning of the text - the first few lines are always OK, and then it's mostly the first letters of each subsequent word that is dropped to a half ...

Thanks Pablo - interesting article, but having tried all the possibilities that it suggested, it has made no difference. I don't think it's a question of scale or of DPI. However, I've noticed that if I go into the text properties' Style tab and change the font to any of the other listed options, eg ...
