Link as Lightbox doesn´t work

Post by syncopic »

Hello Forum, Hello Pablo,

On my website i want the following behaviour, but i can´t get a solution.

- On a page i´ve inserted a picture
- If you click on this pic, another page of the project should open as lightbox (magnificpopup, fancybox)
- If i configure the link as lightbox "standard", it´s working, but without size definition - which looks really bad
- If i configure any other lightbox (magnificpopup, fancybox, ...) just the pic (on which you´re clicking) is opening as popup, but not the desired page, cause the link is set to the pic.

Are magnificpopup and fancybox not able to open a html-site within the project ? I´m just confused.
Any help would be great. Thanks !

Each lightbox has its own set of settings.
For fancybox you can configure the size, but not for magnificpopup

Hello Pablo,

the problem is, that the link to the other page "kovacs" will be ignored and the link is set to the same pic, which should open the page "kovacs".

Hello Pablo,

the zip-file of the project is here:
https://www.pro-e-fact.de/bugs/MuFo_2019.zip

Please go to "unterricht"/"bass" - the portrait on right side should be the link to the page "lehrer"/"kovacs".
Sorry, but there are many pages within the project :?

I'm sorry, but the settings are not correct.
The lightbox should be set to 'defauit' otherwise it will trigger a global light-box for images, instead of the linked page.

Hello Pablo,

ok ... i tried this, but i want to set the popup size exactly, so i inserted in "options field":

width: 330,
height: 500

but the popup size was not like this. Am i wrong with this settings or exactly spelling ?

For fancybox you can configure the size, but not for magnificpopup
You can select 'fancybox' in the page properties.

Oooookay ... now i got it !

- In the general page settings i have to change to "fancybox"
- in the "link settings" of the pic i have to set to "default"
- then i can use all the "fancybox codes" in the options field

This procedure anyone has to know ;-) I thought, that the general page settings have no effect for single implementation.

Thanks a lot for quick support !

Thanks for this thread. :-) I had the same question today.
Now fancybox runs like a charme.

Hi Markus,

if you know about the "general page settings" ... it´s easy, but if you don´t know ...

Happy web building !
