Embedding Facebook page into website

I have a client who wants to embed their Facebook page into a website I am designing. I have searched the forums concerning this but have not found any definitive information concerning this subject. What I did find was kind of sketchy. I also searched on Google and found information concerning a page plugin and how to use it

I set up an HTML box and copied coding as indicated on their directions from the facebook social plugins information related to the page plugin using both the Javascript and Iframe coding but nothing appears in the preview or when I upload it to my active server for testing even though the Facebook page I used for testing is my own personal page and it is public with no restrictions as to age or anything else.

I am at a total loss since I believe I had done this a number few years back using version 12 and it worked fine. Can anyone help me with this as I am now at a total loss. Thanks
