Simple 'Accept to continue' button

Post by Trevor Johnson »

I have a contact form on a layout grid and I need to add an ACCEPT button that customers must press to confirm that they have read and accept the data protection policy.
What is a simple way of doing this, it just needs to stop the form's SEND button working until the ACCEPT button has been pressed. Maybe with an info bubble similar to the captcha one.
I'm using v11.6.4
Thanks.

You can set a checkbox that requires to be ticked/checkedfirst before the submit button can be used.

Please also note WB11 is no longer supported..

Thank you BaconFries, looks like an upgrade is required! Do you happen to have a link to the checkbox procedure please? I've looked under the help system but I must admit it seems vague to me as to how to make the send button inactive without it being checked.
Regards,
Trevor.

'Example 1' in the tutorial explains how to implement this:

Ok, I've upgraded to v15 and had some success with the checkbox but I'm having a problem getting the bubble info box to display if the checkbox is NOT checked and the operator presses the send button. This assumes that the Captcha code has been entered correctly.
Otherwise it's fine but it would be good to actually tell people what they are doing wrong (which is what I need right now as well).

I'm sorry, I do not think these two features can be used together. Only one script can be active for one element at a time.

OK, maybe put it on the list for next time ? I would imagine it's quite common to want people to accept some terms and also have to enter something to prove they aren't a robot.

I now have a different problem with my form. I replaced the Captcha and the image with the letters in doesn't show on the uploaded webpage although it's there on WWB. The usual little image shows up as when there is no image on the server. I have a 'Visit Us' form on the site and that works properly but copying and pasting doesn't solve the problem.

I can't see anything there that is different from the other form which is working properly except maybe 'To be able to generate the CAPTCHA image the GD-library (version 2) must be enabled in your PHP setup.'
And I don't know what I would do to alter this. Could the presence of the checkbox affect it in any way(see earlier in this thread)? Although both forms are very similar, one works, one doesn't !

Did you publish/upload all files ?

This file seem to be missing:

Yes, thanks, that was the problem. I had published 'All files' but that was obviously before I changed the Captcha1 to Captcha2.
Thanks again for your help.
