Break points not working

Post by Chameleon »

Hi I have updated to the latest version of wysiwyg and have started construction on a web site with login pages etc.

I started with just the default size for all the pages and then started to add breakpoints via the breakpoint manager. I set my size at 768 and choose to apply to all my pages. Now when I click on a page to work on it I can see the break point has been applied and the tab at the top representing the breakpoint but when I click on either nothing happens the page stays the same?

If however I choose the index page (the page I opened to add the break point) and click on a break point it will change to that size?

Any idea why this is happening and how do I add the break points to all my pages?

thanks,

Hi Pablo,

I have just constructed a new blank site with the index page set at default with no content other than a text box with the page no in it.
I then cloned the page 3 times and changed the page no so I now have 4 pages at the default setting.
I then open the index page and set a break point via the manager and apply it to all the pages.
Now when I check each page it shows that it has a break point but they do not work? It only works on the page that I set it on.

Further I have removed all content from each page so 4 completely blank pages and still no change to the break points?

If I create a blank page then add a break point THEN clone the page it works but not if I have pages already constructed?

There are no known issues with breakpoints.

The breakpoints work correct. However, you did not change the layout, so the page will look the same for all views.
Note that applying the breakpoints to all page will not change layout, you will have to do that manually.

To learn about the basic of breakpoints please see this related tutorial:
http://wysiwygwebbuilder.com/rwd_basics.html

There are also many templates that demonstrate the breakpoint functionality.

ahh got you now. I thought that it would automatically jump to the break point as it did on the first page. I knew that I had to manually change the content to fit the break points but things are a lot clearer now.

thanks,
