Picstrips (free)

Post by Adendum »

PicStrips adds a little style to your images to help them stand out from the crowd. You can split your images into any number of strips, specify the space between each strip and also the amount of vertical space added at the top and bottom of alternate strips.

Easy to use image effect, Multiple instances allowed, real-time render in design view (except for the strips!).

Original code from Steve Claridge.

I've looked there. What's its name?

EDIT: It's there now!! It wasn't 5 minutes ago, honest.
I did a search for pic and it didn't find anything. I searched manually and didn't find anything.
Ah well, all's well that ends well.

No idea what happened there. I uninstalled mine again and when I came to install via Extension Manager I couldn't see it either. I do have issues with the upload process....if you add 'too much' description everything 'appears' to have uploaded successfully but it doesn't. So I had to reduce the text, upload the zip file again and check it was available and then go back into the upload and add the extra text that I had to delete from the first attempt.

Pablo..........what's up with this.....I can't be the only one?

Hi Adendum :)

Is this still supported? as I had it working but now I am unable to see an image when published.

Is it broke?

Cheers

Still supported - but I'm on holiday from Monday 4th to 15th, so if this doesn't resolve your issue you're on your own for a couple of weeks.

Problem: Not seeing the image in preview or publish.

Causes: Corrupt image, blank image, missing image or you haven't completed the extension properties (most likely cause).

Solution: Fix the image but I doubt that is your problem. So open up the page and double click the extension and make sure you complete the LINKING properties. That is a data collection property and by default it will always be empty (no data, zero, zip, nada) but for the extension to work it needs data. So set that to "No" or "Yes" as required. I am 99.99% confident that this is the cause of your lack of image.
