[rz] iFrame/extended v1.3
This is the solution to have inline frames with extended support for iOS-based mobiles and show them like standard iframes but with extra advanced features.
Some features:
- iOS-based mobiles support.
- RWD and fluid support.
- Borders with crossbrowser uniformity.
- Background transparency with backward compatibility.
- Optional background color while the content is being loaded
...and more!
HTML 4.01 Transitional
W3C compliant
DEMO
* New in version 1.3
- Improved optional image positioning on locked content.
- Improved locking content on mobiles.
- Improved code.
* New in version 1.2
- Optional image (with custom position, offset, size and time) while the content is being loaded.
- Improved backward/crossbrowser compatibility.
- Code moved to an external library.
* New in version 1.1
- Lock scroll feature; it allows to connect to an external site and disallow contents scrolling at specified coordinates - useful to display information like widgets, etc.
How to use?
1. Design your form as you usually do.
2. Instead of use the standard iframe object, drag and drop the extension.
3. Enter the page you want to embed and display within the main page you designed.
4. Optionally, setup the instance to fit your design scheme and define its behavior.
5. Preview or publish.
Important!
Please note that some (external) sites cannot be opened within an inline frame due to security restrictions and/or author's policies.
Enjoy!

Re: [rz] iFrame/extended
Hi RZ,
Reading the description of the extension, I am NOT sure it will be suitable for me.
If you look at this page for example : http://www.beleuramyhome.org.au/respons ... avels.html
I am loading here dynamically a PDF, each time a different one, by the visitor clicking the "Read More" or the Image itself.
So, there is NO fixed URL or a single page in the iFrame.
On a Mobile phone, I created a secondary greed (for a PC / Full screen visitor it is hidden), that secondary Blog is a copy of the original - BUT there is no iFrame on that page, so on my Android mobile it simply loads the PDF full screen and it works fine.
The only problem I encountered yesterday when testing it was an iPad, which I don't have one, that's why I didn't know about Apple disabling scroll bars in an iFrame.
So, I am happy to pay for it - but will your extension just be replaced on the existing page, and that's all ?
Cheers

Re: [rz] iFrame/extended
hi
instead of use a standard iframe object, you use the extension - the same as you drag and drop an iframe, you drag and drop an extension instance
within the extension properties you setup the target url, as the same you do with a standard iframe
you can even setup the target programmatically, the same as with a standard iframe

OK, I will follow that.
Tried using the current version I have now - please see here http://www.beleuramyhome.org.au/updir/sites2.html
The page comes up empty, but I have add a content page into it...
Why?
