Image map with a slideshow

I am making an image map where when I hover over an area of the map, an image appears. This all works fine, just like here http://ramsgatelifeboat.org.uk/links.html

Instead of an image, I would like to use a slideshow as I would like to show several images for some areas. I have tried several extensions like Fotorama and Slideshow but I only get the first image (the slide show doesn't start).

I would be grateful for any help,

The built-in slideshow can be controlled via events.
And although the slideshow was not designed for this, you can try to see if this works.

I think I have used the built in slideshow, at least that is what it was called. Controlled via events to appear when the mouse hovers over and dissappear when the mouse moves away. The slideshow appears fine but doesn't move past the first image.

To be able to help you, I need to see what you have done.

Note however that the slideshow was not designed to be used this way. So, I cannot guarantee that it will work.

The effect works fine now and I am very happy that on one of the points on my image map I can add multiple images via a slideshow on this page http://claxtonhistory.co.uk/the-workshop/slipways.html Note that it only works on full screen mode. The problem was it didn't work in preview mode but works perfectly once it is uploaded to the website!
