.ico files not saving to 'images' folder

Cant seem to get .ico files to save to the 'images' folder.

Hey Andy,

It works for me.

Do the following: go to Tools --> Options --> Publish

Under Target Folder For File types enter the following and save it.

Yes that's what I have done... but not ending up there.

Set the extension as .ico and tried ico but doesnt want to do it?

The thing is that I am sure it previously did in WB15?

In the configuration, you will need to use 'ico', not '.ico'

pablo is correct. The extension should not contain the '.' (dot).

ico versus .ico

Yes I originally used .ico which didnt work.. then tried ico which of course is not correct.

But it seems that for me its not working and it ends up withe html files and the file still works as interned.

Check the ico image and its definitely an icon image will try and do a screen capture

You have it wrong. You have .ico and it should only be ico. Remove the dot. See my image above. There is no dot.

Where exactly is the .ico image being used? How did you insert it into the workspace? Are you inserting as a normal image?

Page Properties > Icons > and then set the path the the ico image

You are correct Andy. Based on where you are entering them, Icons added for the favicons are saved in the root directory. If the icon is inserted normally into the workspace via the image tool then it does work and saves it to the folder of your choosing.

I typically put my favicons in the root directory but I know using folders is an option. You may want to post this as suggestion for Pablo.

This is behavior by design. Favicons are placed in the same folder as the page.

At least I have got an explanation as to why favicons are not included in the imaging filing as with other image formats by design
