Update Latest Version of 16

Post by Tony G »

I installed 16 on my laptop. The next day I installed it on my main computer and worked on a project. I took my laptop to a customers site and tried to open the project from my One Drive. I got a message saying that the file could not be opened because it was saved with a later version. I clicked on Help - Check for latest Updates Online and was informed that I had the latest version. Most embarrassing and unprofessional in front of the customer.

When I got home, I found that my main computer had 16.1.0 and my laptop had 16.0.5 - Why didn't my laptop see a later version?

I fixed the problem by downloading 16.1 on the laptop but it didn't fix my pride.

Whilst I appreciate that you may well have been embarrassed, if you read the following it may well clarify what happened https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/forum ... es#p449965

Your problem arose as you downloaded the file on different days and there had been a hot fix in between. The answer for those running the program on two or three devices is to download the update to a Flash Drive and then use that to update both the desktop and laptop. Maybe a lesson learned.

Version 16.1 has just been released. The update notification for new versions is usually delayed for one or two days to make sure everything works 100% before it's distributed to a larger number of users.
