Shape not displaying correctly

Post by santieb »

Hi Pablo
I've uploaded demo3 file. The shape which i want to use as a button is suppose to be on the edge of the image as in the wbs file, when i preview it, it doesn't display correctly, it is not at the edge anymore.

You have placed a layout grid inside layer. That does not make any sense.
A layer is container for absolute / fixed elements.
A layout grid is container for flexible / floating elements.

The behavior is correct. A layer is a container for fixed / absolute positioned elements.
- You have set the alignment of the layer to center.
- The width of the layer is 970 pixels
This means that the (fixed) content of the layer is centered within a 970 pixel container.

Hi Pablo

I uploaded another file, demo4, where i used the layout grid with the shape, the shape does not display on the edge of the image when i preview it. There is an example image in the folder so you can see what i'm trying to achieve.

Thank you so much, it's working perfectly!!

Hi Pablo

Still on that same image, i would like to add some text, but now how do i get that to align to the left if the layer is set to be aligned to the right?
I've uploaded demo4

All objects on the layer are part of the same container so the have the same alignment.
If you want different alignments then use a layout grid of flex grid with multiple columns instead.
Or place the text on a different layer, but then you will need to make sure that the layers are not nested.

Hi Pablo,
Thank you for the advise. I used the layout grid, now the shape button doesn't want to align to the edge of the image to the right.
I've uploaded demo5

You have set the max-width of the layout grid to 970, so the content area will get wider than 970 pixels...
