if you add an image on your page and double click it and select the watermark tab and make some selections under type and select your font size some thinks are incorrect.
If you select standard, then the font size for it the size appears to be incorrect.
if you select embossed and red for colour it turns out white.

For the first 3 options, the text will be blended with the pixels of the image. So, the size of the image also affects the text size.
If you use HTML overlay, then text will always be the same size.
The 'emboss' effect is always monochrome. so the color does not have any affect in that case.
