I need to move a lot of objects.
Is there a way to marque select all at once versus rather than using click, shift, select, select?

You can draw a rectangle around objects to select them.
Or in the Object Manager you can select multiple objects.

Sorry, I should have added there are layers beneath the objects I do not want to move.

In that case, hold the CTRL key so the layer will not be selected.
