Where did my pictures/ links go after update

Post by fingerstyle »

I just upgraded from WYSWYG 10.4.8 to 16.4.0 The older version ran fine on my Newish Windows 10 PC but I felt that it was time to upgrade. Upgrade process was smooth and easy and I opened and made changes to a website. Save the file and then went to publish and the Program crashed I shut it down, reopened the program then the file and all pictures links etc...are not there. Image not found, links not active. The text changes I made are there. This is true for every page in the website not jut the one I changed.

How do we fix this?

There are no known issues with version 16, otherwise these issues would have already been fixed.
To be able to help you, I need more information about your configuration

Maybe you have moved the project, but did not move the project folder (which cointains the images)?
or maybe the software does not have access to the images folder. For example, because it is blocked by Windows ransomware protection.

What is the folder structure?
What do you see in the workspace?
Are there any error messages in the Asset manager?

Where/ how do I find the project folder? I didn't move the file , opened it from same location asked if I wanted to convert it to 16, clicked yes.

Asset manager says File not found

Everything worked until I tried to publish, I saved it before the publish.

Still playing with this. I went to Publish /Edit/Test and the connection was successful but new css file won't up load.. Until I can get this sorted out is there a way to save the css file so that I can use Filezilla ( it works fine) to get it to the server. I can rename the old one and use the new???

Connecting to 107.180.46.227...
Using PORT mode.
Using port mode is not correct. This will mots certainly cause issues with your firewall or router. Please enbale 'passive' mode on the publish settings.
If it works in FileZilla then maybe your web host requires you to use Secure FTP?

If the files are not found in the asset manager then either the images are not in the right folder or the software does not have access to the files.
