Font size not consistent

Post by rogerr »

Hello,

It appears that font size shrinks when using bulleted indents.

I have 3 blocks of text in 3 layout grids. Text in all 3 is set to 14 pts.
The 1st and 3rd block show 19 pts in the source code and the 2nd which
has the bullets shows as 12 pts. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
http://worldpac.net - project file is testing.wbs

Thanks,
Roger

When you are selecting font sizes in the software it is always in pts (points) and the output is in px (pixels) this is what I see in the source so I think you are simply miss reading. So when you select 14pts then it's output will be 19px. See the following table for reference on pt to px

Hello,
Thanks for the swift reply and the table, that's something I was not aware of.

My issue though is that I selected the same size for all three blocks of text.
The program generated different size for the block with the indents so they
appear far smaller in the generated page. I need all the text to be the same size.

I can get the blocks to display close to the same size if I set blocks 1 and 3 to 14 pts
and block 2 to 24 pts. Why do they display differently?

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

For further details about how to share a project file, please see this FAQ:

Thanks for looking into this. I supplied "http://worldpac.net - project file is testing.wbs" in my original message.
Is it something else that you need?

Sorry, to be able to help you I need the project file (wbs), not the published page.

You will need to check 'Enable responsive fonts' in the text object.

See also the notes about this in the help and FAQ:

Thanks much, Pablo.
That fixed the problem. Is there a way to set that globally so all
text objects will be responsive or do I need to set it in every text object?

Page Properties -> Style -> Enable responsive font
Note that this only applies to new text objects.
