problem with flex container header vs page header

I upgraded to 17 yesterday. I like it.

But have a new problem now and can't figure it out. My old page with a page header I created works ok on cell phone viewing. I used part of a template yesterday with a drop down menu. and it works great, but it squeezes the website from top to bottom overlapping most of the website. It also does not show the text of the drop down menu, just the box with the lines. Also viewing on a cell phone it allows me to zoom in and out on the web page because it's to large to see anything. I know its the flex container doing it. because I switched it back to the page header and it's fine.

Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
