Image Comparison on Tablet/Smartphone

I've used the Image Comparison object on a couple of web sites. I notice the object works great when using a mouse but does not react when tapped on a touch screen device. I've tried setting the trigger to "click" and "hover", but on touch screens neither setting works. Am I missing a setting or is this an issue with touch screens?

It seems to be working for me on my iPhone and iPad.
What do I need to do to make it not work?

Doesn't work on my Samsung A13 or on my Kindle Fire tablet when I tap with my finger. Please take a look at the two comparison images at https://www.firehawkinstallations.com/ If those work for you, then it's just my mobile devices.

I have an Android 8.x phone and I can confirm it not working using Chrome 110.0.5481.65. It works fine om my laptop on Windows 10 and Firefox.

I can confirm it is not working on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20.

Unfortunately, it will be difficult to me to do something about this without access to a Samsung device.

Well mine ain't Samsung but if you're looking for an Android phone, you might want to consider a second hand from Marktplaats

Pablo the issue is most likely related to Andriod devices. Fire tablets by Ama*on use Fire OS which is based on Androids open project system and Samsung use Android with there own UI. if you could get your hands on Mobile/Cell running Android maybe you could find a solution.

Understood, as a alternative you could install Andriod (yes it is possible) on a PC or have it as a dual boot. See the following url reading from:

Just a suggestion as it would allow you to test Andriod and save you having to purchase a Andriod Phone.

Downloaded the latest build. Uploaded the site page. Cleared the cache on my smartphone. Still not working.

The trigger is set to "click". Is this correct for smartphones/tablets?

The update works for me. I tried your demo and it is not working. Are you sure you did a full re-plublish of the page including all the .js files? It doesn't look like the latest .js file is uploaded on your demo.

You will need to republish all files.

I decided to buy a 'cheap' Android Tablet. That helped me solve the issue within 5 minutes;)
Only now I have a device that I will probably will never use again...

Sorry, I was testing the change on yet another site (where it still doesn't work for me). So now I've republished the Firehawk site using the latest build. The trigger is set to "click". Cleared the cache and then refreshed the browser. On my Samsung phone the comparison sliders still do not work. Same for the Kindle Fire tablet. Maybe this is just something to do with the browsers' engine.

gofrank, does it work on your Samsung A13 or on your Kindle Fire tablet currently? I tried reloading on my phone but it still doesn't work. I do not know how to empty cache for one page though, refreshing didn't do it. Can you verify it works on your problematic devices?

jerryco, yes it is now working on the Samsung A13, the Kindle Fire, and also on my Lenovo touchscreen laptop (where it did not work previously). On the laptop, the comparison worked using the mouse, but touching the screen did nothing. Once I uploaded ALL the files (I was missing the js), everything worked perfectly.

I did have to go on the Samsung A13, open Chrome, go to Settings, Privacy and security and tap Clear browsing data to get it to clear the cache. Then, back on the page, hitting refresh got everything working.
