Cards and SEO

Post by colin1661music »

Hi Guys,

I've converted my site https://www.freelondonevents.co.uk/ to use cards, however I'm a little worried that SEO's are not picking up these cards. The new Sections seem to be more SEO friendly.

What makes you think they are not picking up the info contained in the cards?

Sections and Cards are basically the same. There is no difference in the structure of the items.

Thanks Pablo,

I was just wondering if the link is stretched the search engine sees the card as a button rather than the individual elements, it was just a hunch.

I wonder if in future versions we could fix the height so that a -20px margin would keep the info button at the bottom of the card?

A stretched link does not affect the structure of the HTML. It's a style attribute.

There are no know issues with the height.
What are you trying to do?

Thanks Pablo, if you look at https://www.beckenhamhighstreet.co.uk/ I would like to make all the cards the same size with the Information button at the bottom of the card, in some cases using a margin of -20 used to work.

To make all card the same height you can use a card container.
Or if you use layout grids then you can set the minimum height of the card.

You can see this on the homepage, where all cards have the same height:
