Content Holder Does not expand

Post by JohnnyG »

25 years experience with DreamWeaver looking for a change and like WYSIWYG 18 - but I need help with "master-page" and "master-frame".

My website uses the same "header" on every page - a word mark image and slogan. Directly below is a page width drop-down menu. Each page has a text menu as the footer. This is important to my audience, as it is a large informational site. I also like uniform pages across the whole site. The content areas are very different on each page. I need help using the master-page with a variable content area.

Current website - complete with errors in Dreamweaver - is here: www.murraygreybeefcattle.com

I am excited with WYSIWYG and want to use it instead of Dreamweaver. Truly would appreciate any help.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Note that I cannot see what you have done based on the published page (HTML), because the software has thousands of options and millions of possible combinations.
So, there is no way to know which options you have used by looking at the HTML only.

For further details about how to share a project file, please see this FAQ:

If you haven’t already read please see the following tutorials on the use of Master Pages, Master Frames and Embedded Page.
How to use Master Pages?
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/master_page.html
How to use Embedded Pages
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/embedded_page.html
How to use Master Frames?
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/master_frame.html

Also I would see the following regarding what type of page layout you wish to use for your pages. Note that although the software has a Table Object just like what Dreamweaver uses (from looking at your site html) in WB tables aren't used for designing but one of the layouts mentioned at the url below as these are for designing your site to be RWD (Responsive Web Design) so that they are more Mobile friendly for the likes of Cell/Mobile Phones,Tablets (Andriod iPad) and for Google complacency.
Which layout mode should I choose?
