Pages not centered in Chrome

Post by suomi48 »

How do I make sure the pages in my project are centered when viewed in a browser, such as Chrome?

That depends on how your layout was created.
Can you please be more specific? What did you do? Do you have a DEMO project?

I created the pages with some text and images placed at space 500 horizontally.

How wide is the workspace for a page? Do I need to move text and images further to the right on any given page?

My site is www.suomi1948.com

Thanks.

It looks like you have used absolute layout?
In that case, please read this:

Dear Pablo,

The topic you suggested I read appears to have been created in 2005. Here is the link to it: viewtopic.php?t=153

Looking at the latest version, 18.3, Page Properties is different than what is in the topic I just gave you the link to.

Can you tell me what selection I should make in version 18.3 to center my page(s) in my browser?

Thanks.

The properties may look different but to center your page if using a fixed layout is the same. In the page properties on the general tab, set the page to center horizontally. All your content should be between the left side (0 on the ruler) and the right dotted border which is set to your page width. The page width can be changed in the page properties as well.

More then centering the non responsive page it would have been better to use responsive grids.

Followed everyone's suggestions except responsive page. My first page looks fine on an Android phone, the background is missing on an Android tablet, and is not centered horizontally in Chrome. In Page Properties, under the General tab, alignment is set at Center Horizontally, size width is set at 1024, size height is set at 800, and is user defined.

Is the viewing problem in Chrome specific to Chrome? Why is the background not appearing on an Android tablet?

Without seeing what you have done if not easy to say. Please either provide a "Demo" or a "Link" to your page or site.
