I could not reproduce this myself.
It may be related to the line spacing. Some fonts do not report the correct height when using Direct2D. This is a known issue in Windows, which only Microsoft can fix.
But it should not affect the published page.
I think I know what you mean. It happens on some but not all fonts which when making the website inside wwb the font with large font size the bottom or a tail of the text gets a bit cut off but when published it shows correctly. It is more of a preview issue inside wwb because of the font but after published as you said everything does work fine. If there is a problem with the text still then css height auto or a little bit of padding can be used for a better fix if needed. I have done it on a project which had similar problem.
