Hi, took a long time till I now renewed the introdction of a small book:
https://die-schubiduwas.de/
The reason was the production of a video to read the book aloud and the long-needed mobile compatibility.
One question to embed youtube videos (at the moment I am only providing a link leading to the playlist):
How to activate the 'data consent message' that is shown in many yt videos?

The post can be moved to general questions. That would be fine, I think.sieweb wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 8:30 am Hi, took a long time till I now renewed the introdction of a small book:

Now I see 2 questions. First question was how to embed YouTube videos so on toolbox you can search "youtube" and you will get the tool where you can paste YouTube embed link, and it would show in a frame on the website but make sure to get the embedded link correctly.
Second question was about data consent message for that you can use modal popup so check dialogue for that.

Re: Story, book introduction site / yt embedding
Hi, seems that my request has been so misleading!
First aim has been to introduce the new site.
How to embed yt videos is not a problem, done so many times, but I don't know how to deal with the consent dialog. As I have seen this one:
so very often I thought it to be kind of a standard dialog but have not found a hint in the yt help.
On the other hand is this dialog so ugly that I consider not to embed yt videos but a simple link as I have done so far.
Now I am back to the appearance of the site - and maybe on the right side of the forum?

Re: Story, book introduction site / yt embedding
You were never on the wrong side of the forum!. Let's look at it this way for talking sake. Another member is having the same issue then they wouldn't expect to find the answer in this section they would look for a possible answer in the "General" section were others may have asked/posted it. This is why I asked you to post it there so that it would found easily and answers given.and maybe on the right side of the forum?
So to answer you question it is related to "YouTube" nothing to do with the software (no settings). YouTube now need to be GDPR compliant (Data Protection) which you yourself will need to set in your "YouTube" account privacy settings.
This is not really something that should be answered or asked here and why I asked you to repost.
Re: Story, book introduction site / yt embedding
It’s tied to GDPR compliance, so you’ll need to tweak your YouTube privacy settings to get that sorted. If the dialog feels too clunky, sticking with a simple link to your playlist might be the way to go.sieweb wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 9:37 pm Hi, seems that my request has been so misleading!
