Font Error

Post by Jerry »

Hi

I have errors on all my pages regarding the fonts.
When I check the font they are typically Arial or Verdana not the ones mentioned below?
I don't use those 2 fonts it said I'm missing?
I have read some previous post but I didn't see a fix.
I've updated to version 19.4.3 but no change.
I am using win 11.

Example:
Text3,'MS Sans Serif' font is missing.,The object uses a font which is not installed on this system.
Text3,'Calibri' font is missing.,The object uses a font which is not installed on this system.

Plus more

Thanks for you help

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.
Also, please include a description how to reproduce this problem.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

For further details about how to share a project file, please see this FAQ:

What of the software are you using?. Have you read from the following tutorial?
Using Web Fonts in WYSIWYG Web Builder
From reading in other threads others are posting similar questions from one. This may help from Pablo open the text object, select all text and then apply the desired font.

Pablo
Thank you for your reply.
Here is the thing that is really weird.

I saved a project with a new name.
I deleted all the pages in that project except for one and saved it and closed WB.
When I reopened the new saved project, there no font errors.
Weird.. right

So sending you a sample project apparently isn't going to help.
Any thoughts

PS.. It might something to do with me upgrading from Win 10 to 11.
As this wasn't a problem when I was using win 10.
I haven't made any new pages, I was checking on a page when I noticed the errors.

Good day Pablo

I have uploaded a WBS project file to my site for you to review.
So to go over my issue:
I went to my to a project created with WB 19 and noticed that there were these errors were on every page in every project.

"Text3,'MS Sans Serif' font is missing.,The object uses a font which is not installed on this system.
"Text3,'Calibri' font is missing.,The object uses a font which is not installed on this system.

That was not there before but I did update to win 11 from win 10?
I also updated WB to the latest version but that didn't help.

This is probably a dumb question but,
How do I give you the password to my shared folder on my website without showing it for everyone to see?

Although you are looking for help from Pablo only before sharing please read the following How do I share my project to get help? Reading from the "Important Note" this will save him time looking through pages and pages or even projects. So all that is really needed is "one" page only. To share you can email him with the password.

I doubt that this has anything to do with Windows 11.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project.

Pablo

The info for my font problem is on our site.
I sent an email to you with the link.

Also BaconFries.... Thanks for your help.

Without you and Pablo helping along the way I would have never have been able do half of what I've done on my website.

Thanks again.

I have received your email, however I cannot download the file.
Can you please remove the password?

Note that I do not need to full project, just a demo project. So, there is no need to password protect it.

Thanks for sending the file.
I see that many objects have the default font set to 'MS Sans Serif', so you probably had at some point set this as the default font in the page properties.
MS Sans Serif no longer exists in Windows 11.

The quickest way to solve this, is by using 'Global Replace' (in the Tools menu) and replace the font with something else.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Thank you very much for finding out what the problem was.
I see what I can do to fix that.

I have to say as I am getting older (71) the brain seems to take more holidays and makes things a little more difficult.. :)

Regards
