All projects have same publish data

Post by rogerr »

All my website projects now have the same publish data: Location, Site Name, User Name and Password. These sites have been created over several years and all had different publish data before Using version 20.3.1

You have previously asked a similar question. Did you read Pablos reply? "Make sure each profile has its own unique name!

Thanks much for your response. I did ask awhile back but couldn't find the original postings. I don't know why the operation changed. All my sites have different usernames. In the past, I created a site, filled out the publish screen and uploaded and the site displayed. A couple of weeks ago when I tried to save an existing site, the publish screen was wrong. I found the file, publish.dat which had most of the sites with the same publish data. I'm going through now and correcting it.

I don't know why the operation changed.
The operation has not changed. It has been working like this since version 1 of the software.

But you may have changed the system folder, in which case the software can not find the publish.dat file if you did not copy this to the specified folder.
