AI Page Description in German? French?
When I call upon the AI in Web Builder to generate the text for a page description, it usually gives me good content -- after a bit of editing. However, sometimes the language generated is German, or French, occasionally Spanish. This makes the feature unusable. The page language is set to English, so I'm puzzled why the AI would choose something else. Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: AI Page Description in German? French?
The AI does not add a language to the prompt.
I am using this feature almost daily and never had an issue like this.
What are your exactly settings?
Which AI provider do you use?
How do you use it exactly?

Re: AI Page Description in German? French?
I'm using OpenAI, model gpt-4o-mini for text.
After the text of a page is complete, I go into Page Properties -> Meta Tags -> Description and click "Generate a description from the content of this page with AI". Today, I received one description in German and a different page in Portuguese. It's repeatable, as if I delete the text and click the "generate" prompt again, I get the same language (not English) in the same page. Other pages function exactly as expected, with all English text. It's hit or miss.
Fortunately, it's easy to paste whatever language is generated into my browser and get a translation. Not a big issue, but I just wondered why it was happening. I don't have any other language modules enabled on my PC and all my language preferences are set to "English (United States)".

Re: AI Page Description in German? French?
Is there any words or phrases that are in the page(s) text that are "German" or "Portuguese"?. Have your tried writing the prompt so that it will only ever write in "English""After the text of a page is complete" "German and a different page in Portuguese"
Example
"Write the description in English." or "Always output in English regardless of context."
"Write a concise meta description in English for [The Topic or Content of the page]."

Hi, Bacon,
There's no option to select a language. You just click on the link and the text is generated. It's in the Page Properties meta descriptions, not the normal AI generated text feature Web Builder offers. The page content is all English, no other languages. I've also encountered this while working on other sites. I just thought it was odd and wondered if it was just me or some setting somewhere I've missed.

Re: AI Page Description in German? French?
I think a specific word in the page content may have caused the AI to detect the wrong language.
In the latest build, (July 31, 2026), the “Generate description from page content” option in Page Properties now includes the page’s selected language in the AI prompt, so the AI no longer has to guess.

Thanks for the new build, Pablo. Every page now generates text in the correct language. It's a real time-saver!
