It is not possible to open "Official" extensions with the Extension Builder to make any changes, there are no xwb files available for you to do so, this is because "Official" extensions are not made with the Builder, they are programed using C++ I believe, and like the extension builder there are no files available for you to make any changes.... You can of course make changes to the script manually to what you think you need.

Try using iframe lightbox extension, the greybox browser extension, or use the WB Inline frame and repeat it for each logo. Set it to Display content inside lightbox and choose a logo as the preview image. The image will open the client's website in lightbox. Or set the logos on your page in the desired layout (array), and apply links to their websites. Use the pop-up option if you do not wish for the websites to open in separate tabs.

The only difference to what you have done in Photo Album and any of these options is that you will have to repeat each lightbox to build your desired array, as they do not allow for multiple images in 1 container.

Image Full Width Extension
In the context of a Responsive Web Design we can use a layer set to 'Relative' sizing with the alignment set to 'Strech content' so we can have a responsive image. The result is disappointing due to the disrupted dimensions. Is it possible to do a better job, so an image resizes correctly depending on the screen size?

Yes, I think so if we have an extension based on the PHP an jQuery solution of James Fairhurst. I hope someone will pick up my request and we can optimized our WWB websites so the images are responsive and look great on a mobile device, a tablet and on a PC without creating mobile only versions of our sites.

Thanx, iVent

And here an other one to request. FitText a jQuery plugin for responsive websites, makes font-sizes flexible to use on your fluid or responsive layout to achieve scalable headlines that fill the width of a parent element.

@ iVent Unlike other web designg programs (dreamw**ver)WYSIWYG Web Builder uses a fixed position (pixel perfect)for its layout and not a fluid or scaleable this means tha text/image on a page cannot increase/drease in size with the users screen resolution . please read the following to undrstand more about what WYSIWYG Web Builder is

Can MegaMenu be modified to this?

Posted: Mon Jun 18, 2012 3:28 am
by amrajadhyaksha
Hello all,
Please see http://www.mtn.com and the dropdown menu.
It resembles the mega menu, only difference being that it starts from a (hypothetical) 2nd tab but the drop down covers the width of the full banner and starts from the beginning of the banner instead of starting from the bottom of the tab it originates from.
Seeing the page for yourself may make this clearer than my description of it.

Can the megamenu be modified to look like this?

BaconFries, thanx I know that. This is probably one of the strongest points of WWB (;-) I only hoped that someone could make an adaption somehow. As we see with the beautiful jQuery Masonry extension, what can be done to get responsive (pc, tablet, mobile) websites. As I explain I thought perhaps with the existing use of layers with adaptive text and pictures, that something was possible to do with these jQuery plugin solutions. Thanx again and I'll just wait and see what the future of extensions will bring.

Hi,

I discovered this nice, playful and furthermore impressive slider: http://tympanus.net/Tutorials/HoverSlideEffect :D

Added an Intro step with fade effect on my site (javascript small tweak): http://www.soslignes-ecrivain-public.fr ... etail.html

Cool one that could be an extension (one day I will dig this process, need more time but it's on my to do list  )

Cheers!

Just see all the navigation, starting from PRODUCT down.
The third menu "OVERVIEW" onwards is fascinating, in that the bottom half of the page changes while the top remains constant.
Any idea how this happens?

Do we already have something similar?

An extension similar to data viewer or dbts csv list but simpler. One that dynamically reads a delimited text file and populates a standard non-sortable table. Could be used for price/comparison matrix etc. A user would only have to make small changes to the text file to update prices, description, etc.

I have found php and javascripts that do something like this but I have no idea how to build it in to an extension. The code looks fairly simple especially to anyone who knows how to code.

I could devote time to help put it together, test etc.

http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/jquery_accordion.html

While both the above are excellent, it is well known that another jquery extension cannot be used in the same page.
This severely restricts creative expression re: galleries etc as many of them use jquery.
Would it be possible to have an extension that behaves the same way, but does not use jquery?
The built in slide Menu is not an answer as in performance it keeps jumping up and down, page boundaries going for a toss. The jquery menu also looks more aesthetic.
Any help?

@amrajadhyaksha

What your saying is and isnt true you can use multiple jQuery extensions/Objects on the same page only if they all use the exact same version of jQuery ie 1.7.2 which at present is what all jQuery Objects use within WYSIWYG Web Builder. But if a jQuery extension useas lower or a different version then there will be conflicts.

The two Accordions that you have mentioned both use the same jQuery so they can be used on the same page, the only difference is that jQuery Accordion Widget - Version 1.1 belowis depreciated and is only intended to be used for backwards compatibilty with WYSIWYG Web Builder 7 if you wish a Accordion then it is recommened that you now use the inbuilt version found in WYSIWYG Web Builder 8 and higher
http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/jquery_accordion.html

There is more than one jQuery menu as they all use it, so to help please be more specific by saying which one is giving you any issue!

Also the slide menu uses jQuery but I dont understand really what your issue is with it!

Thanks, BF.
I was not aware of the jquery 1.7.2 point that you have mentioned. That takes care of part of my problem.
My main problem was using a jquery extension with the accordion.
Yes, there can be different versions between the extension and the WWB 8.2.1's inbuilt jquery objects, so conflict is expected as per your clarification.
Hence the request for a menu that behaves like the jquery accordion but does not use jquery.
Thanks again for the prompt reply which was quite helpful.

I was bouncing from thread to thread and actually forgot which one was the original one. Sorry bout that. I am currently redesigning my site, http://lionsheaddesigns.com and I havent published it yet because I am still playing with what your extensions do and how I can implement them into a new design. Once I have it figured out I will be creating another web site, http://1959design.com and using everything there that I am learning now. I will let you know when this happens :)
