Hi ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you think about the Smallweb movement? I feel like it aligns quite well with WWB. What are your thoughts on that?

I recently bought a domain called Smallweb World ---> https://smallweb.world and the website is currently under construction.

Looking forward to hearing your opinions!

Kind regards,
Mary

This might have been a more useful link: https://smallweb.page/home

Google's AI Overview tells me:
The "small web" movement, also sometimes called the "smol web", aims to simplify the modern web by making content more accessible and less resource-intensive, focusing on personal, independently hosted websites and community-driven communication.

Hi wwonderfull! ๐Ÿ™‚

The site is a directory and a network of independent sites, designed to operate outside the major social networks. It helps to discover and connect autonomous projects, promoting a freer and more decentralized online space.

kind regards
Mary

Hi AliGW ๐Ÿ™‚
There are many different websites all over the web, you can also start your own, the basic and main concept is "Be Free!!!"

Smallweb.World Manifesto:

Reclaim the Web: Join Our Autonomous Network!

The web was meant to be a vast, decentralized spaceโ€”a realm of creativity, independence, and true connection. But in recent years, the internet has been hijacked by monopolistic social media platforms, drowning original content in algorithms and ads. It's time to break free.

Our project is more than just a websiteโ€”itโ€™s a movement. A SmallWeb directory, network, and autonomous platform that connects independent creators, thinkers, and innovators without the interference of corporate gatekeepers.

What Makes Us Different?

๐Ÿ”— A True Network, Not a Walled Garden โ€“ Unlike centralized social media, we donโ€™t trap users inside engagement loops. We connect independent sites, forming a living, breathing ecosystem of authentic voices.

๐Ÿ›  Autonomy & Ownership โ€“ This platform is yours. Your content, your rules. No shadowbans, no algorithmic suppression, no invasive data tracking. Just pure, unfiltered expression.

๐ŸŒ Decentralization by Design โ€“ We donโ€™t rely on Big Tech to exist. No dependency on massive platforms that can shut down accounts on a whim. Our system is built on sustainability, resilience, and open collaboration.

๐Ÿš€ Discoverability Without Dependency โ€“ Struggling to get noticed outside the social media bubble? Our directory amplifies your presence, connecting your site to an engaged, like-minded audience without forcing you to play by the rules of engagement-driven platforms.

Why Join?
- If you believe in an open and independent internet, this is your space.
- If you're tired of your work being lost in the noise of social media, we provide a direct, algorithm-free connection to your audience.
- If you value digital sovereignty, here, you are in control.

๐ŸŒฑ The future of the web is in our hands. Letโ€™s reclaim itโ€”one independent site at a time.

Join the movement. Explore. Connect. Build.
