Format Multiple Cells with a Style

I've searched the forum and the method for selecting all the cells in a table at one time to format with a style do not seem to work. The forum posts says that you select all cells using CTRL-click, then while holding down the SHIFT key, select cell properties. This does not work. The only method I have found to work is to double click each and every cell, then bring up the context menu and pick the style from the menu. One-at-a-time!

Also, CTRL-clicking is a time consuming activity, while there is a significant delay to bring up the Style tab from within the cell properties menu.

Is there not a straightforward way to select multiple cells in a table to apply a style? Heck, I'd settle for a simple click on the cell and button on the ribbon to apply the style (I can get a button on the ribbon on the style menu, but it is several clicks away if the you are not on the TEXT ribbon).

You would think that selecting all the rows (by clicking the left border of a row) would allow you to apply a style to those cells - but that doesn't work either.

Working in tables is a slow activity in this application requiring multiple menus and clicks - seems like a revamp would make this much more straightforward.

Maybe the following threads will help. Note if using tables to design the layout of your page/site then it is now dated and very 90's. The modern equivalent and recommended is Layout Grids to ensure compatibility in all modern browsers.

ooh! thank you so much
Hi.

Did this work for you? I just can't work out how to do it.

Cheers
To change the font and size or even the colors of multiple table cells: Select multiple cells -> hold down the SHIFT key and click cell properties.

the easiest way to select all the cell is the when you hover on the top border of the header you will see a black arrow pointing downwards so you press and keep SHIFT button on hold and just click on all the table headers borders to select them and while you are holding the shift button then just click on cell properties it will show all the options then.
