White space at bottom of page

Hi I have a query re white space that appears after the last layout grid and fixed footer on my pages but the thing is it does not show when the site is published?
I have a master page and it is set using a fixed header and floating footer and a contact place holder.
When working on the site I notice that the pages have a large white space after the last item added i.e. layout grid and the footer. I can adjust the size of the white space by adjusting the page height but it seems to return when I work on the site further.
I have read the FAQs re white space and I have checked for items outside the page area but as far as I can tell there are none, I also checked for hidden objects and there appears to be none.

Is there something I am missing or is this normal?

thanks

William

If you have a fixed/floating footer, then in the workspace it will appear at the bottom of your page based on the workspace height. This is just during design time. Otherwise, just set it to normal floating.

so nothing to worry about when building? I was thinking that the size of the content place holder on the master page might have something to do with it. Yes this is in the design time.

thanks William

Cheers wwonderfull,

I have read through that and checked the suggestions.
It only seems to affect the workspace when I’m building and not the published site. When I check the page size it’s quite big. I can reduce the page size and it will reduce the amount of white space. I’m not overly concerned about it since it doesn’t seem to affect the published site but when building it can be a bit off putting to have so much space :D

Cheers

William
