Can not change the color from the default blue

You can change these colors via the style properties. This works the same as with other objects.
If you need further assistance then please share a DEMO project (not the full project) and describe exactly what you are trying to do.

Isn't it that the work space does not render colored links because of a limitation of RichEdit?

No, that has nothing to do with the Overlay Menu

the colors inherit from the default view, so you will have to set them there.
