Mesh Gradient

Playing with this and when I choose Style/Background/Multi-color gradient/Edit Styles/Mesh gradient… no matter which mesh I select it does not change the previous dialogue to match. The previous dialogue defaults to the default first item in that list which is Apple Glass.
I’ve tried layers, grids, responsive text and they all behave this way.
Am I doing it wrong?
Thanks.

change the previous dialogue to match. T
What exactly do you mean by this?
Where does it stop working for you?

Hi Pablo. I’ll post a reply later. Major power outage here and internet barely working.

OK. Power is back.
Here is a demo project along with a few screen capture images included.

What I meant to say was that after selecting the Mesh Gradient and selecting OK and WYSIWYG goes back to the previous dialogue which still shows the default selection. Maybe my screen shots will help.
Another point...does WYSIWYG go out to the Internet when loading. During the power outage, it takes about 3 to 4 minutes to launch. Seems to be stuck on Loading Extensions. Now with power back on, it launches right away.
Thanks...

'Edit style' launches the editor. It does not change the current selection or any of the other settings. It's just a shortcut to the editor.
So, after creating a new gradient, you will have to select it in the list to use it.
Note that this is not new behavior, it has always worked this way.

Maybe you have enabled 'check for updates'?
Other than that it does not use the Internet on startup.

Perfect. Now I understand.
Thanks Pablo.
