Slimbox customized.

Image

What have I customized in this vieuwer.

Images.
Select the images from your hard-drive and type a discription for the alt text.

I have inserted variables for what you normally not can change in lightbox extensions.
The original Slimbox works like lightbox but I have changed some things to
have a image vieuwer what not is like other lightbox vieuwers…..

-The selected table background color is always the same as the bordercolor
from the resizing image.
-There is no number or text below the image!
-You can change the resize speed!
-You can change the Opacity overlay color and darkness.
-You can change the background color what you see if a big image is resizing, what
looks very nice if u use the color from your page background.

I have used the same table layout as lightbox.

Al Slimboxes on one page works together with back and next image, if you change group number to group1 or group2 for the next row than they work not together.

*The General settings in the last Slimbox extension on your page are used for the overlay, resizing and background colors.
If you need different General settings in your website than you have to use pages in folders.

*The settings in border images can you change in each new line of images.

How to use on your page.
Use the arrows or P and N keys or your mouse for back and next image.
Use X from your keyboard to close the Slimbox.
Click the overlay to close Slimbox.
Click another thumbnail to close Slimbox.

Ok what you have to remember is that the thumbnails arnt exactly true thumbnails they are still the large images that you used but made smaller by the height and width properties within the extension so some quality will get lost, unlike the original by Lokesh Dhakar which uses two images one for the thumb and one for the full display meaning quality can be kept more easier with the thumb used, but there will always be some loss of quaility when reducing any image from its original size to a smaller size as this is out of the extension builders control there is little that they can do about this sorry......

The most users dont like to make thumbs first..,the quality is not so bad if u use the same scale for the thumb width and height setting.

Baconfries I never tested this but maybe with: dataset value-of select, but I think many users wil not like that they first have to make thumbs for al images. :?

I agree Eddy having to have two sets of images thumb\large before the extension can be used may put a lot of users of using it not all will know how to make thumbnails from a larger image. I am going to try the
dataset value-of select in Ext Builder Pablo did mention this to me before for my conveyer\lightbox extension I just never got round to trying it looks like I better put the coffee pot on or get the beer chilled....

Not all pictures i use are the same scale or the same aspect making them look worse in thumbnail view.
Maybe you can use the lightbox from webbuilder ,there is an option for different size thumbs.(maintain aspect ratio)

Code: Select all

rel="lightbox-group">
lightbox-group is your first gallery for the second gallery you have to rename the rel= lightbox-group to lightbox-group1 in your page html after publisching.

I did not expect that anyone would use more than one gallery on a page,I have a look if its possible to make a variable in the xsl for this.

Extension updated to change group number.

Al Slimboxes on one page works together with back and next image, if you change group number to group1 or group2 for the next row than they work not together.

Sorry we cannot build the same layout as lightbox with the extensionbuilder.
We can build the extension with tables but we cannot insert a new row after five or 10 images.

BaconFries is right ,so far I know we cannot build it with the extension builder to have more than one row.

It works the same as any other WB extension.

In this extension is text below the image disabled, otherwise I could not make al the color options.
See the example image in the first post.
