Tip for beginners:
Need to compress or resize larger images for your site? There is a program that many people have on their computer, but don't realize it's usefulness. If you have Microsoft Office installed on your computer, then check out Microsoft Office Picture Manager. I use it all the time for quick compression and resizing.

Create your own Flash based movies and animation:
LiveSwif http://www.liveswifers.org/

Convert any multimedia file into any format (for tech savvy folk):
SUPER http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Again, it's all FREE!

You can use Microsoft Powertoys. It has a feature that is instaled on windows and you just have to click on the right mouse buttom on a picture to resize it to standard formats.(its free).

Most people find it hard to work with Photoshop but in most cases to make good looking websites is all you need. Learn the basics with free video tuturials.

A lot of free stuff to add to WWB like buttoms, textures, backgrounds and much more.

No other program I know makes it easier to do than WWB. If you know of sites to access FREE high-quality web graphics or more, share them here.

Note: Don't download the extensions package. Most offerings are trial versions or require immediate up front payment.
Thanks for the tip, johnk. I downloaded it in the past, but never installed it. Now I know not to.

I know a photographer who would love the "Make Up" feature in Photo Toolkit. Thanks, wacki56.

No posts here for a while. I'm beginning to think this thread is dead.

So how about this ...

Came across this site recently - http://www.smashingmagazine.com

An absolutely superb site with great ideas, freebies, tutorials etc
So grab a cup of coffee, sit back and be prepared to be awed by what some people can do.

A simple CMS
Found this via the site above - http://www.cushycms.com
Simply sign up for free, define your editable areas and create a login for your user. Watch the video. I've not tried it but it looks good.

Enjoy :D

I tried Cushy Cms and it works quite well but the security issue is that you have to give your FTP passwords over to a third party .

Thanks for the compliments! It's good to know people are still checking out the post. I'm hoping from the high number of views that folks are finding it useful. If you have any free resources you use with WWB that you'd like to share, please add them to the list. I'm always looking for something new to make web design a little easier.

While we're on the topic, I recently discovered these tools, one of which is probably the best color picker for high resolution monitors I've ever seen, and the other is a great multi-tool for people looking for movable pixel rulers. Both work great in tandem with WWB and both are FREE, although I did make a small donation to PicPick to help with their development.

@secmedsol: Bittbox.com is a blog that occasionally offers free vector graphics and designs. I've found some fantastic graphics from Bittbox in the past to use on my WWB-made websites.

I can't remember if WWB even had a button tool back when I first posted Bittbox as an alternative. However, I frequently use WWB for buttons now.

Either way, Bittbox vector graphics are great to use when designing your WWB-made sites.
