I'm not a millionare so Photoshop is out of the question. Looking for online free software or modest cost to gradient blend images horizontally. I used to used Lunapic - but Gif is so grainy.

Have you tried Gimp? https://www.gimp.org
It's very popular but takes quite a bit of getting used to (I thought so anyway!). It's also very powerful.
There are many tutorial videos available e.g.:

Have a look at the range of S****f products - I think that's covered and they sell 'previous versions' very cheaply in the hope of upgrading you subsequently

Gimp is awful to use, even more unintuitive interface than PS.
You could try Paint.net

Paint.NET is the way to go...in my opinion. 100% FREE and I use it for almost all my graphics work.

Guys -

Paint.Net - I've tried looking at paint.net - but can't find anything on blending to images horizontally with an overlap - lots of aweful videos on blending on top of each other only?

Gimp - WWB - As to gimp, I followed that video but my images don't transparently blend - this is what I get? :

Hello, i have an extension to blend images, it´s not ready yet but u can use it. Right now you can only blend one image per page/folder. If you want to blend more then one image you will have to put the images/extension in different folders. Then use inlineframes. But you can use it to blend images, previwe and then use some screen grab tool to save the blended image. Try different settings on different images.

The Extension is based on this: https://dev.opera.com/articles/getting- ... end-modes/ and http://codepen.io/una/pen/Qjgojy

Demo: http://test3.fcab.se/mixblendimages/

I may have found something you are looking for?
Freeware - I installed it on win 10 works well.
Lots of options in dropdown menus.

I actually took your two pictures and experimented :-)
Hope this helps.
