Restore a page

I accidentally deleted a page from my project. Is there a way I can pull it back down from the server into the project. I've tried page > Import > Import html page > remote (on internet) and put the https:// address in.

Tried twice, and both time it crashed WWB.

Am I missing A STEP?

Thanks

Select 'Tools' > 'Backup Manager'. Look to see if you have a backup copy saved of your project in the list (hopefully).

Yes I have a backup. But what I did was accidentally over write 1 page with another page (gave it the same name). So I just want to pull down the 1 page from the server to restore it to my project. Not the whole project.

Thanks

Pablo,

I'm just trying to pull one page off of the website. Like you said before, WWB does not delete any pages, so the correct page is on my site, but it is no longer in my project on my local machine. So I was just wanting to pull just one page from the site back into my project.

Instead of Local to Remote, I'd like to publish Remote to Local. I can just rebuild the page, but it would be quicker since it's already on the site.

Thanks

You cannot completely restore a page from a HTML file. The HTML file does has enough data to reconstruct the original page.
However, you can import one page from a backup of the project (Page -> Import page form another project)

Thanks Pablo,

I'll check it!

Which makes me wonder. Considering a total system and backup failure (hypothetically, for what ever reason) can WWB pull the website back down from the server? Is it possible for WWB to reverse the htm(l) back into a local project file? Sounds like you're saying no (at least not totally).

Thanks

No, that is impossible.

However, you can make a copy of the project on the server:

Yes I understand that. So that re-enforces the importance of multiple current backups!

Thanks Pablo,
