Does anybody know a way to present 8 Youtubes and google map without choking the download speed...
I'm looking at this page and its way too slow but its has everything they want. In fact they seem ok with the speed but its killing me.

Any ideas how to speed it up?
Chers,

Had something similar on my site but multiple slideshows and the odd video on youtube. In the end I changed the page design to an index type page so when they clicked on the play button it loaded a separate pop-up lightbox page with the slideshow or video on it. Cut the loading time way down and looked better from my point of view.

Just trying not to overload people's systems and still have a reasonable presentation.

I see you placed an image with a youtube play button on top. The play button opens the lightbox and shows the video.
That's interesting...
Thanks,

Yes, I adopted that idea quite early on in development so people always know where to kick off the show. It didn't take too long on Google to find someone who liked the idea as well and made all the code available. Since most shows are run by Fancybox and has wide adoption there was plenty of advice on how to modify. Also had great help from the Fancybox originator, particularly with the more recent versions which I code separate from the Web Builder mods that Pablo made so I can have more than 1 version running on site without file conflicts. It's a bit of extra work but the end result is what I look for rather than the convenience of built in code.

Great reference article, Thanks. Also Fancybox, once you get your head around it, does all that and is fully responsive.
