upgrading

I figured I would upgrade from version 12 to 14, but I am always hesitant to do so. I couldn't find any help about how best to do it in the FAQ. Should I install to a different location? If so, will it save my default directories and configs? I assume, from what I read, I should avoid the 64 bit version as a newbie.
Thanks

I don't know why you would avoid the 64 bit version - it works great. And if you do buy the 64 bit version, Windows 10 will put it in the Program Files folder so it won't overwrite the 32 bit version you already have installed (in the x86 folder).
I never used version 12, played around with version 10, but 14 is a giant leap ahead of those with so many modern features. I would just go for it - you can still do the trial version thing before you buy it.

You can install the software in the same folder, but it's usually best to install it in it's own folder, so you can keep the old version around in case something works different then you can compare the settings.
