Suddenly Can't Publish

I am suddenly unable to publish pages to my site.
When I hit "Publish" nothing happens.
I noticed that the "Publish To" box is blank, but when I click on it to fill it in, nothing happens.
Also, when I click on "Host" and "URL" nothing happens.

Maybe you have accidentally removed the file 'publish.dat' from your computer?
Normally this file should be in the folder: \Documents\WYSIWYG Web Builder\system\
If the file exist then make sure it's not read-only or in any other way protected.

The "publish.dat" file is on my computer and there doesn't seem to be an indication that it's read-only.
(I say this because in the status column it has a green check.)
Other ideas/suggestions?

Maybe you have changed the 'system' folder in Tools->Options->Files & Folders?
Something must have been changed, because it will not suddenly stop by itself.
