I have noticed that my page seems great in all browsers, except internet explorer. If you open the link below you can see it is so bad in IE it is kind of unusable. The responsive menu is stuck open and formatted wrong. Pictures are in the wrong place.
Am I missing something here? If there a way to fix this for IE, or is this a common issue we have to live with?

In the page properties you have selected "EmulateIE8". This disables many modern HTML features.
Please set this option to 'none'.

Also, use HTML5 instead of HTML4.
