Hi Pablo.

Was using WB 14 untill now (and still is). Everything works nicely.

Bought WB 15 and installed it some time ago (not used it yet).

Downloaded WB 15 update 15.2.1 (64 bit) yesterday and installed it.

When about to install it Windows said (big blue box showed up on desktop):
Windows will not run this program etc..... Do you wish to allow anyway etc... Said yes and it installed.
But when in WB 15.2.1 in Tools - Extention Manager - Retrive most list of extentions etc - it will not connect to the net.

Message:
IDS_INTERNET_ERROR
Failed to connect to the Web Builder website, please make sure your firewall is not blocking.......

Went to Windows firewall:
Allowed WYSIWYG Wb Builder 15 in Programfiles in C: - but no connection
Removed it then from the list

Then Went to Windows firewall again:
Allowed WYSIWYG Wb Builder 15 in Programfiles (x86) in C: - but no connection.
They are located in two places for some reason.

In WB 14 everything ok.

What could be the issue you think?

I am sure this is related to your network settings.
The functionality has not changed compared to WB14, it is just that your firewall sees version 15 as a different application.
Please make sure that WB15 has the same settings as WB14.

Ok, but should I use/allow the WebBuilder.exe program in folder:

WYSIWYG Wb Builder 15 in Programfiles in C: installed 24112019

or use the one in


WYSIWYG Wb Builder 15 in Programfiles (x86) in C: installed 22072019

Please make sure that WB15 has the same settings as WB14.

Additional Info:

WB 14 was not in the allow apps to communicate thru Windows Defender at all. No WB was there and WB 14 has worked all the time.

Allowed and Used WYSIWYG Wb Builder 15 in Programfiles in C: installed 24112019 to go thru Win Def Firewall and it's not working.

Aslo new tings happened.

Box from WB 15 poped up saying:

The 'BOOTSTRAPMENU' extention (page11:Extention2) could not be located

Please install all missing extentions before you continue.

-To continue anyway click yes (use with caution ......)

And a new box as well poping up saying: Unspecified error

Pablo - hold on - it might be working now.

Hi Pablo.

Now the extention manager update suddenly works but something new happened. A popup box showed:
The LIGHTBOX extention could not be loaded......etc
Contiunue anyway I clicked yes - then just one third of the pages in the project showed up. I clicked No
and same result.

Did you install the lightbox extension?

All WB's 12,13,14 an 15 (org) are located in C: Programfiles (x86) and just the WB 15 update is in C: Programfiles.

Did you install the lightbox extension?

The 32-bit version installs in Program Files (x86).
The 64-bit version installs in Program Files.

Then maybe you have installed the 64bit version?
In that case, you will also need to install the 64bit versions of extensions.

I think you have mixed up the 32 and b4 bit versions.

In the window title or about box you can see if you are using the 64bit version.

I think you recent problem with extensions confirm that you have installed a different version than you previously had.

Hi Pablo - I agree must have mixed them.

Is the first WB 15 I bought order nr 100370784 - does that come with 32 bit only?
The update after that one I installed 64 bit for sure.

Is it best to uninstall WB 15 and start all over and choose 32 or 64 bit - will both folders in programfiles and programfiles (x86)
then dissapear?

You can either install the 32 bit version and continue to work like you used to.

Great but I guess my question is:

On the PC I have now 2 folders with WB 15.

Folder 1:
WB 15 in C: Programfiles (x86) installed on 22072019 - the WB 15 original bought 22072019 v 15.0.4 - order nr 100370784 in a zip file when I downloaded.
In that zip file - is the WB 15 a 32 bit only - the programfile that was enclosed?

Folder 2:
WB 15 in C: Programfiles was installed on 24112019 - the update v 15.2.1 and I chose 64 bit (want to use 64 bit).

Is it then correct that there should be 2 folders on the PC with WB 15? Or should I delete one of them/or both and reinstall just one - the update? Must ask so I don't run into issues later.

You can have both installed at the same time.

But personally, I only ever use the 64 bit version.

Yep, I had both installed until I was happy with the 64-bit version (which I am now).
I also just run the 64-bit version now.
As a backup I kept all my 32-bit projects in seperate backup folders but I don’t think I ever needed them.

Yes, this is normal. Windows installs 32 and 64 bit versions of applications in a different folder.

They both will work, but share the same settings.

But Pablo, next time when we get the special upgrade offer to buy f.ex WB 16 - then the zip file we usually get when buying new versions will
only contain 32 bit - will it be possible then when buying an upgraded WB version(s) be possible to choose between 32 and 64 bit because otherwise we'll only have 32 bit and must go back to that one.
