how should I setup my page in order to create e-mail signature to use in e.g. thunderbird?

In general, email applications only support limited HTML / CSS.
Also, they usually do not support external CSS or JavaScript.
I am not familiar with thunderbird, so I do not know which level of HTML/CSS it does support.
