I have added views/breakpoints but how do I make one of those the default.

At the bottom it shows my breakpoints and a "default" breakpoint but I see no option to choose which breakpoint is the default. Is this possible?

The default view is the first (main) view. You cannot make a breakpoint the default view, because a breakpoint only records the differences from the default view.

What are the dimensions of the default view automatically set by WYSIWYG so that I make sure the added breakpoints are smaller?

You can set the default view to any width you like, in the page properties or via the rulers.
Also, in the page properties you can make it the default for all new pages.

My experience tells me that the default view should be the largest (widest) one. Not sure if that is correct, but if I do that, everything seems to work OK.

That is correct.

I understand that but I cant seem to make my largest viewport be set as the default.

i.e. I have several set breakpoints:

DEFAULT
1280px
1024px
768px
480px
360px
and
320px

If I click I on 1280px I get one version of my website and if I click on 1024px I get another version HOWEVER when I click the DEFAULT tab I get a version that is similar in size to 1024px but doesnt hold the same settings as if I click on the actual 1024px viewport.

I would like to set my largest viewport 1280px as the default but I see no option for this.

What I did for the meantime is simply change the DEFAULT Tab to 1280px and removed the actual viewport of 1280px but I would like to know how to do it the correct way for the future.

- remove the 1280 breakpoint
- make the default view 1280 pixel wide.
