Line-Height in Web Builder 15 Shorter Than 14

The line-height in the text on my website in Web Builder 15 collapses to much smaller than what I had it in 14.

For instance, here's a page in 14: https://holylanguage.com/john.html and here's that same page in 15: https://holylanguage.com/temp/john.html If you scroll to the bottom the difference in line-height becomes especially marked and clearly untenable.

I posted about this here https://is.gd/ivsBed and tried everything suggested in this article: https://is.gd/vsnEu3 but none of those variables solved this problem. It looks like in 15 there's a new line-height box in the text box settings which is blank, see screenshots here: https://is.gd/7agS65 and I'm wondering if that's the problem? I tried globally editing the line-height of all the text on the project but none of the site-wide editing features had that functionality.

I can't use Web Builder 15 if it butchers all the text on the hundreds of pages on my site like this. Is there anything I can do that I hadn't thought of yet? Thank you for your help!

In the code, the wb14 shows a line-height of 22px. In the new wb15, it shows 17px. Once the 17px was changed to 22px it looked exactly the same.

What are your exact settings for one of the text objects? Font size? What is the 'output format' set to? Did you put any line height in the page properties?

Usually text issues are related to the DPI configuration.
Unlike previous versions, WB15 is now DPI aware.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply, I really appreciate it. The first four screenshots are of WB14 and the next four of WB15. The first in each set is of the top text box with font size 12 and the next with longer text box with font size 11. The next two are of page properties. Also, note in the second set how I needed to zoom in to 130% but that messed up the WYSIWYG element as it now looks different when viewed in the GUI than when viewed after output. Let me know if I can give you more info! Here's the folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/fold ... 99IDhjPI3m

Thank you for your reply but it didn't help. As I said in the original post, I already tried all the variables in that article and they didn't stop the line-height from collapsing. Please see the two previous posts in this thread for a more accurate understanding of the problem. Thank you!

Did you disable Direct2d for text? Then you should have the same text behavior as in previous versions.

However, all modern browsers now use hardware rendering (like WWB15) , so I think it's better to focus on to make it work correct in WB15 with the new settings than to trying to make it look like WB14 which used older functionality.

Thank you for asking. I did that before and I just tried it again and it didn't make a difference, the line-height still collapses from 22 to 17 pixels. Were you able to look at the object and page properties in my previous post to see if anything there would explain the problem? Thanks again for your help. I really do want to use WB15 but I can't if I have to rework the hundreds of pages on my website because of this line-space issue.

You shoudl not have to redo all your pages. By disabling Direct2d and using the exact same settings as the previous version, you should get the same results.

To be able to help you, I need a demo project.

See this related FAQ:

Important:
Please do not share your complete project, the project should only contain the revelant object(s).

I opened your project in version 14 and version 15 and for me it looks exactly the the same.
What exactly do I need to do to reproduce this behavior?

Are you sure the settings of both versions are the same. And specifically the DPI configuration?

I'm on Windows 10 and the display is custom set to 125%.

I ran all the possible variables with the DPI configs as mentioned in that article before but I just did it again and it changed the text size so it looks the same but that's not the problem, the problem is that it didn't keep the line-height from collapsing.

Thank you for your help!

I'm sorry, but II do not see any pronblem in the project you have shared.
For me, it works the same in WB14 and WB15.

I still think there is a difference in your settings. Note that WB14 was not High DPI aware by default.

Are you saying the line-height is the same in both on the code level?

Crispy68 on Thu Jun 25, 2020 wrote in this thread "In the code, the wb14 shows a line-height of 22px. In the new wb15, it shows 17px. Once the 17px was changed to 22px it looked exactly the same."

Is the code not showing the same as what Crispy68 is indicating?

Yes, when I publish the project locally.

If there are differences then this usually indicates that the DPI settings of both versions are different.
