Hi good people of this forum,

I have a small problem and hope that someone can point me in the right direction of what I am doing wrong.

This problem only exists on one page, and it is the only page with two pictures, so I am sure it is something to do with them. Though I have already deleted the pictures twice and replaced them with new ones, but I am still getting the same problem and it also seems to be worse of my mobile view breakpoint which is set as 360px.

When I am in the editor and I place the pictures where I want them and size them to how I want them to look, I go and publish the web page and the top picture is much bigger and now does not stay within the page width on mobile view, even though in the editor it showing as it should be.

Even if I reduce the size of the picture to very small in the 360px breakpoint it is still the same size when I have published it.

What am I doing wrong?

In fact whilst I was checking the picture does not change at all no matter what breakpoint I am looking at in the web page. This is the only web page that I am aware of this happening.

If you have been using Insert >> Image, try using Insert >> Picture instead.

That should allow you to make the picture exactly the size you wish for each different breakpoint.

I cannot see what you have done or what it is suppose to look like, based on the published page.
To be able to help you, I need a demo project, so I can see all your settings.

Thank you both for your replies. I have though worked out what it was, and it took me by surprise and I do not know why these happens, but it is something to do with coding.

The problem was, that I was naming my pictures starting with a number, once I changed the name to started the name with a letter, the pictures both loaded up perfectly and sit where they are meant too as designed in the editor.

When the names started with a number, once uploaded, it seemed to render them incapable of the pictures being responsive and the pictures would stay in the same place on the screen and would not change size or move position when changing the screen size. They became non-responsive.

But as soon as I changed the name to start with a letter they uploaded and became responsive, as I was adjusting the screen size.

Thank you though and i hope anyone else who has a similar problem will find this solution fixes it too.

Pure curiosity - but WHY should you not start a name with a number? Surely it's just ASCII code at the end of the day.

This may be related to the way JavaScript processes variables and filenames.
