Experimenting with the Bootstrap Accordion and the Expandable - paid versions (just bought both)

I am using a two column layout grid. Menu in the left column and text in the right column. I want the entire layout grid cell where the menu is placed to be the same color as the menu background. I set the colors and it looks like I want in the design mode but on the preview, the space below the area used by the menu is white if the text content in the column to the right is longer than the menu.

I am trying to accomplish something like the green menu to the left used in this page:

I put an image of the web page at the top of what I am trying to mimic. The image links to the actual page.

There are two Layout Grids using the expandable menu and one with the accordion menu.

Can you please describe where exactly on the page I need to look to see the problem?
Note that the column of a layout grid is always as height as it's content. This is standard HTML/CSS behavior.
Alternatively, you can use a flex grid instead.

Changed it to a Flex Grid and it does what I wanted.
