v16.0.3 - 'Master' Element Behaviour
Posted: Wed Oct 07, 2020 5:18 am
After installing v16.0.3, I published my website and immediately noticed an issue which, after investigation, was caused by the significant increase to the vertical-height of the 'bounding-box' of an embedded 'master' element i.e a 31-pixel(h) bounding-box increased to 691-pixels.
On checking the source 'master page', the master-element bounding-box was still the correct 31-pixel(h) dimension. The increase in vertical height was confined to the pages in which the master-element was used.
As this 'master' element comprises a 'Kick-butt Mega-menu', it is vital that it is always the front-most element on the page (otherwise the drop-down menu's would be obscured by any picture and/or text element that was 'in front' of the Master element).
The inexplicable vertical lengthening of the Master element bounding-box results in the loss of link-functionality of any linked element that is situated within the Master element bounding-box area.
The vertical-height of the bounding-box can be manually-altered easily enough (manually-dragging from the bottom instantly 'snaps' the bounding-box to the native vertical dimension of the 'master' element); but because the 'master' element at issue is at the top of 1800 pages on my site, it's going to take me a while to fix each page manually.
I have taken a couple of screen-captures and published them to better-illustrate the problem ( http://www.007homevideo.com/wysiwyg_v60 ... issue.html )
