Im in a pickle and really hope you can help

I am a host of a radio spot and have been building my website for a few years and my file stopped working a couple weeks ago.

I installed the latest version 16 a month or so ago a couple weeks later I was working on a page while i travled and when i go to my destination I opened the file and a box opened up with this error:

an unknown error occurred while accessing files disc F:/______ website.wbs

Since this i have not been able to update my website and if i have to return to my last saved copy I lose over a year of work on my website.

how can i fix this?

Send the project to us if we can open it then the tables might change, and if we can not then I suggest you to go to C:\Users\User\Documents\WYSIWYG Web Builder\backups and see if you have any latest backups remember to keep backups always! The problem is unknown because it depends on the operating system you are running on the version and if you have any antivirus bodyguards in place. Other then that data corruption may be a cause. So reinstall the software clean and install it to its default directory which is the (c) drive it may work.

For now I found some things which you can do:
Check the following items:
1. Make sure the users have permission to access the central file.
2. Check if the issue occurs for another Windows user account (if not, the user account may be mis-configured or damaged)
3. Default path for user files is set to a local disk. Install wysiwyg web builder in its default directory.

Maybe the location of the file is protected by your firewall or ransomware protection?
Or maybe the project uses extensions that are no longer on your computer?

Did you try to move the project to another location?

where do i send you the file to see if you can work it to open?

pablo i had not moved the file.

i was onlt traveling and did some work on it when i was on the airplain

pablo i moved the file to my desktop to see if it would open and i got the same error

You can share a light demo file of your project only the page which contains the problem should be upload and share a link you can use any file sharing platform such as https://up.labstack.com/ and just share.

wonderfulwall i did find other latest backup on my website and the file did open up
