media player on reveal

Is it possible to automatically start a media player when it is revealed ? Possibly using a bookmark.
Auto play is blocked by many if not all browsers. This was implemented as it was deemed as annoying to users as they should have control over what they have to see / hear when they visit and not forced on them.
