File not found error

Post by Thepaac »

I did some editing on two pages on my website and did a preview of them. I always check to see if they still link to other pages in the project before I publish. This time not only these two pages but all of the pages directed to the "Contact Us" page come up with "File not found It may have been moved, edited, or deleted. ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND" non of which was done by me. I am hesitant to publish the changes without knowledge that the "Contact Us" page will not work. Suggestions, please!

Maybe you changed the page name but did not publish all files?

I did not change any page names, and I have not yet published the changes. As I said, I am reluctant to publish the pages I edited for fear that the contact page will not work on the newly published site.

In that case, maybe you did not enable 'Preview entire website'?

I had to go out of town for a few days so I was unable to see and respond to your suggestion. I looked at the "Preview" menu and it is set on Preview Entire Web Site. Any other suggestions?

Maybe the contact page extension is set to PHP?
PHP pages cannot be previewed.
